Description:

Water Detector is a small electronic device that is designed to detect the presence of water and alert humans in time to allow the prevention of water damage. Its design is a small device that lays flat on the wall and relies on the electrical conductivity of water to decrease the resistance across two contacts. A 9 volt battery then sounds an audible alarm in the presence of enough water to bridge the contacts. Water Leak Alarm is useful in a normally occupied area near any appliance that has the potential to leak water, such as a washing machine, refrigerator with icemaker, dehumidifier, air conditioner, or water heater.

Battery Installation:

• 1. Remove the two fastening screws on the back of the unit to access the battery compartment;
• 2. Attach a 9v alkaline battery (not included) to the connector and place it in the compartment;
• 3. Refit the back of the unit and replace the screws.
• 4. Battery Life:100 hours of continuous use;
• 5. Battery life varies from 2 year to 10 year;
• 6. Recommend using alkaline battery;
• 7. When you don't use the water detector, please take off the battery and put it where the kids can't touch.
